My posts are up here, Chester

KMSDMBMU: Hooters is apparently coming out with an energy drink. The drink itself is nothing special, but people can't stop staring at the cans.
withak53: They only come in packs of twos
KMSDMBMU: and if you want to give one to your baby, you can put a nipple on it.
withak53: there are two sizes, D's and Wheelbarrow
KMSDMBMU: If you are having a party, though, you can buy the jugs.
withak53: The packaging leaves something to be desired. If you run with them they'll wind up smacking you in the face.
KMSDMBMU: Hooters is now more like Red Bull, they both give you wings. (I know it's not boob-related, but I still like it)
withak53: I hear that it will contain no natural ingredients
KMSDMBMU: the cans will come in a holder that is two sizes smaller than it should be.
withak53: but will be impossible to open for 16 y/o boys

Anyone else want to take a crack at that setup?

Tips for healthier eating

Since several of my friends (you know who you are... and since I only have 5 friends, it shouldn't be hard to deduce) are eating healthier, I would share the tips I promised them.

1. The only things you should drink are calorie free. Water and Green Tea can be consumed at any time and it as great a quantity as you like. Diet Sodas are ok, but limit yourself to one per day. If you pee any color but clear, you need more water. If you pee any color but yellow or clear, see a doctor.

2. You should eat 5-6 meals per day or once every 2.5-3 hours.

3. Every meal should contain some form of protein. If your goal is weight-loss, you should focus on lean protiens (chicken, turkey, fish).

4. *1-3 are pretty universal. This one is different than a lot of advice you hear.* There are two kinds of good meals. Protein - Fat (P&F) and Protein - Carbs (P&C), In a P&F meal, there shoud be no more than 10g of carbs. In a P&C meal, there is no more than 10g of fat. You should be eating mostly P&F meals, however you can eat P&C meals for the 6 hours after you exercise. This way, you can still have carbs, but you get them at a time where the body uses them best. The most important thing to remember is not to combine large amounts of fat and carbs in the same meal. I can give you examples of my favorite P&F and P&C meals if you like, but I don't want to throw them in this post and go all Good Housekeeping on everyone.

5. Avoid all processed grains. Processed flour and white sugar are horrible. White bread has virtually zero nutritional value. Look for the "Whole Grain" seal or things that are "100% Whole Wheat."

6. You should do a huge percentage of your grocery shopping around the outer walls of the grocery store. That is where the perishables are - produce, deli, meat/seafood, dairy. Frozen foods are generally bad, but a good rule of thumb is that the fewer steps from the ground to the package, the better (e.g. Frozen veggies are still good (and usually cheaper than fresh), whereas the "mashed potatos" that come with your Banquet Salisbury Steak are crap and nutritionally void (and don't even get me started on the "steak.")

7. Read nutrition labels to know what you are eating. High Fructose Corn Syrup is possibly the worst ingredient you can consume. Try to avoid it. Also, pick up a food scale next time you find yourself at Goodwill. People frequently don't know how much food constitutes a serving. This will help you keep a very accurate food log - which reminds me, keep a food log.

I also have some good cookbooks in pdf format, if anybody wants them. Hit me up with questions or any points that I didn't make clearly.

UPDATE: Don't feel guilty if you don't follow these rules all the time. What you do 80-90% of the time will determine your results. People burn out when they jump right into 100% discipline. Keeping it at 80-90 will keep you motivated since you know you are only one day away from a big old pizza.

Suck on this, Geek

The Subtle Neurotic

You scored 52 anxiety, 62 awkwardness, and 50 neuroticism!

You have all the makings of neuroticism without any of the amusing trappings--you are The Subtle Neurotic! Plagued by doubt, fears, and worries, you are much more likely to have a quiet existential crisis off on your own than to bite your fingernails. You worry a lot over social situations, but take heart--chances are, you're not nearly as awkward as you feel you are. The best advice I can give you? Confide your worries in someone--no matter how irrational they seem. You're far too likely to keep everything bottled up.

Your high anxiety score implies that you are unable to relax, worry about the future often, and probably are plagued by irrational fears and self-doubt.

Your high awkwardness score implies that you are socially nervous, probably have difficulty with conversation, and perhaps feel uncomfortable in large groups of people, such as at parties.

Your low neuroticism score implies that you don't exhibit subtle neurotic behaviors--your nails are probably an acceptable length, your pencils aren't covered with bite marks, and your bookcase isn't arranged alphabetically by genre. Congrats!

__

See the other results!

Well-Adjusted

The Neat Freak

The Dork

The Geek

Phobic

Obsessive-Compulsive

The Subtle Neurotic

The True Neurotic

10 things I think I think

10 Things I think I think:
1. I thought I would be sick of Wii puns after two weeks. It's been almost a month and I know I was wrong.
2. I think "How I Met Your Mother" is now funnier than Scrubs, which is the first time a laugh tracked show is funnier than a non-laugh tracked show.
3. I wish I was a ninja. I don't just think that; I know it.
4. The word "Meat" makes me giggle. So does "Balls." "Meatballs?" Nothing.
5. I read some papers I wrote in college and now believe that although I'm wiser now, I was deeper then. Between college Kevin and Hemingway, I think that the key to depth is depression.
6. I have found that if you do something stupid and you aren't sure if anyone noticed, making a joke at your own expense means that nobody saw the original stupid thing and you will feel even dumber.
7. Condoms have an exceptionally long expiration date. If mine go, I'm cutting it off.
8. Nothing on the internet has done so much for humanity with so little as Postsecret.
9. I am currently in a situation where my intense desire to be right is conflicting with my intense desire not to have shitty things happen to me.
10. I think that by holding my expectations for myself as high as I do, I am slowly turning myself into a funny, smart, multi-talented, and miserable person.

From Erica's via boredom

Six weird facts about myself

When choosing a gas station, I use three levels of analysis.
1.	Price
2.	Convenience
3.	The font they use when printing the receipt for Pay at the Pump.

When I was young, I thought I had come up with a new theory for the concept of time and what happens to it when it is gone. I then saw the movie “The Langoliers” and got incredibly pissed off at Bronson Pinchot because I thought he had betrayed me and given my idea to Steven King in exchange for a role in the movie.

If I leave a dangling participle while talking, I will be uncomfortable for the next 5 minutes.

In the past year, I have gone on two coffee shop dates where the girl thought I was gay. I met both of those girls in the same bookstore.

After a round of golf where the betting got pretty out of hand, I won $80 but had to Nair almost my entire body.

Regardless of my accomplishments and my burgeoning ego, I can still look at my sister and feel inferior in every conceivable way.
